2 inch x 20 feet, PVC non-collapsible Suction/Intake Hose, is internally wire-reinforced to prevent collapse. Smooth inside walls deliver maximum flow with reduced turbulence. The suction hose maintains high flexibility even in extreme temperatures. Corrosion-resistant brass swivel nut. Rugged die cast aluminum threaded connector. Heavy duty stainless steel hose clamps.

  • PLACE THE WATER PUMP ON A LEVEL SURFACE, 3 FEET AWAY FROM EDGE OF WATER. PUT SUCTION HOSE INTO WATER.

  • REMOVE THE PRIME PORT CAP AND FILL THE PRIMING PORT TO PRIME THE PUMP. DO NOT RUN THE PUMP DRY.

  • UNROLL ALL OF THE FIRE HOSE AND LAYOUT AWAY FROM ANY HEAT SOURCE OR SHARP OBJECTS, WITH AS FEW BENDS IN THE HOSE AS POSSIBLE. DO NOT ALLOW A VEHICLE TO RUN OVER THE HOSE.

  • TURN THE HOSE NOZZLE TO THE OFF/CLOSED POSITION.

  • MOVE THE FUEL VALVE LEVER TO THE ON POSITION

  • TO START A COLD ENGINE, MOVE THE CHOKE LEVER TO THE CLOSED POSITION.

  • MOVE THE THROTTLE LEVER AWAY FROM THE MIN. POSITION, ABOUT 1/3 OF THE WAY TOWARDS THE MAX POSITION.

  • TURN THE ENGINE SWITCH TO THE ON POSITION.

  • PULL THE STARTER GRIP LIGHTLY UNTIL YOU FEEL RESISTANCE, THEN PULL BRISKLY TO START. WHEN RUNNING, RETURN THE STARTER GRIP GENTLY, DO NOT ALLOW IT TO SNAP BACK AGAINST THE ENGINE.

  • GRADUALLY MOVE THE CHOKE LEVER TO THE OPEN POSITION AS THE ENGINE WARMS UP.

  • POSITION THE THROTTLE LEVER FOR THE DESIRED ENGINE SPEED AND WATER PRESSURE. A SLOWER ENGINE SPEED WILL SAVE FUEL.

  • TIGHTLY GRIP THE HOSE AND NOZZLE. POINTING AWAY FROM YOURSELF OR OTHERS, STAND IN A SECURE STANCE, AND GRADUALLY TURN THE HOSE NOZZLE ON/OPEN, TO THE DESIRED SPRAY PATTERN.
